Coach Daryl Sutter confirmed to the media Mitchell would not play, according to the Los Angeles Times, due to a lower-body injury he suffered in Game 6 vs. the San Jose Sharks. Matt Greene replaced him in Game 7.

Sutter did not make the 40-minute trip to Anaheim with the team.
"We felt clearly it was way better — being this close — that Willie stay back at our [training] facility and treat him," Sutter said.
His return will depend on how well treatment is going.
